Domain names extensions in International scripts
In near future you may see a domain name extension in your language script.Yes, this is true.No longer just the Latin alphabet. ICANN-The body in charge of assigning the world’s Internet users their online addresses on Friday said it had agreed to allow the use of any of the world’s scripts, .
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, which approved the change at a meeting in Seoul, said in a statement.”This is only the first step, but it is an incredibly big one and a historic move toward the internationalisation of the Internet,” ICANN’s President and CEO Rod Beckstrom was quoted as saying. “We have just made the Internet much more accessible to millions of people in regions such as Asia, the Middle East and Russia.”
The programme is set to rolled out in stages, starting Nov. 16. To see the full ICANN proposal click on (ind-cctlD-implementation) Initially, it will allow internationalised domain names (IDNs) using scripts such as Chinese, Korean or Arabic for the country code designators at the end of an address name. Eventually, the use of IDNs will be expanded to all types of Internet address names.
ICANN was set up in 1998 and operated under the aegis of the U.S. Commerce Department. It is the only body which decides what names can be added to the Internet’s top level domains (TLDs) such as .com as well as country designations. Last month, the U.S. government agreed to changes that in effect meant ICANN would no longer report solely to the United States.
What would this mean ?
Definitely a big step towards internationalisation of the internet , and it could lead to a rise in the number of Internet users dramatically.
How to disinfect your computer keyboard
Disinfecting the computer keyboards is required to keep you and your computer healthy.Keyboards generally get dust from air, hands, surroundings( if something spills off ).
To disinfect your keyboard, first turn off the computer. Later spray disinfectant on a cloth. Make sure that you use only disinfectant and not just any type of cleaner because not all cleaners can act as disinfectants. Also do not spray the disinfectant directly on the keys of your keyboard. Spray it on a plain cloth. then wipe down the top and sides of the keys. Wait for few minutes to the keys to dry off before turning the computer back on.It is strongly recommended that you should make it a regular practice to disinfect your keyboard. It not only keep you healthy but also gives you a refreshing feeling while using your computer.
If some liquid kind of spills on your keyboard, The first thing you must to do is immediately unplug the keyboard from computer and turn the keyboard over so that its keys are down( if it is a laptop do is as quickly as possible so that the liquid doesn’t descend into the hardware). This will allow the liquid to drain out.
While the keyboard is upside down use a cloth to remove as much as liquid possible. If you have a compressed can air or a vacuum one, while the keyboard is upside down blow or vacuum it out. Then let the keyboard set upside down for at least a night so that it can dry out.Later you can use the disinfectant method to keep clean it.
Keyboards are quite resilient and so it should work when you turn it on again. Hope this helps you, but the best thing to do is to avoid having any liquids near keyboard.
