How to Show all icons on Task bar?

1) Click on the ‘Show Hidden Icons’ button and select customize. (Or, Click Windows Start -> Control Panel -> Appearance and personalization -> Customize Icons on Task bar)

2) In the Notification Area Icons panel, check on Always show all icons and notification on the taskbar.

Click on OK to save the setting. Now, you can have all icons show up on the taskbar.

If you have too many icons and want to hide them back,

1) Right click on the task bar and select Properties

2) Now, Click on the customize button,

you will see Notification Area icon panel and unmark the settings to Hide Icons in taskbar.

How to Enable High Quality Video Chat?

Login to your Gmail account, check out the upper-right corner of the page and select Settings. You will find multiple tabs like ‘General’ ‘Labels’ ‘Accounts and Imports’ etc. Select Labs from that menu. Scroll down (or try searching for) to Video chat enhancements and select the Enable radio button.

Whenever a user tries to load a previously accessed page, opera first attempts to find what type of webpage it is, Is the page a static webpage? Does it rely on scripts to display the information? Based on these findings it decides from where it should the webpage. However, some users might want to load the webpage from cache always. It speeds up the display of the webpage and it was a default setting of opera version 8 and earlier.

If you wish to do so, just enter opera:config#UserPrefs|HistoryNavigationMode in the address bar of your opera browser, and change the value from 1 to 3.

1. Automatic Mode: Opera browser decides whether to load the page from its local cache or retrieve the page from the web server
2. Compatible Mode: The webpage is always loaded from the web server.
3. Fast Mode: The webpage is always loaded from the local browser cache.

Now scroll down and save the settings. That’s it, your pages from history are loaded in blazing speed from now.

Note: If a webpage heavily relies on scripts to display the information, you might see a disrupted webpage. Just press the reload button in such cases.

3) Edit the Firefox add-on file. Download the add-on file to your computer and unzip/extract it ( double-click the .xpi file and open it with winzip/winrar application to unzip ) and edit the install.rdf file. Change the value of em:maxVersion to 4.0.* , Now compress it folder and change the extension of the compressed file to .xpi, then drag and drop the file in your browser to install the add-on. To start with we need to install two packages usb-modswitch and usb-modswitch-data.

Open up Terminal,and type the following
$sudo apt-get install -yq usb-modeswitch usb-modeswitch-data

Then we need to edit wvdial.conf file (this is a utility that helps in making modem-based connections to the Internet that is included in Linux distributions),

To edit wvdial.conf, type this in the Terminal

$sudo gedit /etc/wvdial.conf

Type the following in the file opened,be sure to add your phone number
[Modem0]
Modem = /dev/ttyUSB0
Baud = 115200
SetVolume = 0
Dial Command = ATDT
Init1 = ATZ
FlowControl = Hardware (CRTSCTS)

Now, close the editor and reboot the system.
To connect to the Internet, type this in the terminal

To disinfect your keyboard, first turn off the computer. Later spray disinfectant on a cloth.
