They made rapidshare more friendly by removing annoying captcha system for non-paid users, increasing per day traffic limit for many countries, security lock to protect accounts etc.  Rapidshare developed and API (Application programming interface) to help software developers to build applications based on Rapidshare. They say that it is in beta stage and will be released within few weeks. The primary reason they build this API, is to protect its system from unwanted malicious third party programs resulting in system slow down.
