Proxy Server Settings in Google Chrome

If you are browsing internet from your work place or school, you might get it from a proxy server.Here is how you can change proxy server in Google chrome web browser.

1) Open Google Chrome web browser.

2) On the top right corner you will find wrench button, This is where you can customize and control Google chrome.

3) Click that and now you will see a drop down menu, Select Google chrome Options from the list.

4) You will see an options window now, It has 3 different tabs Basics,Minor Tweaks and Under the hood.Select Under the hood

5) When you scroll down a little bit, you will find Change proxy settings button below Network options.On Click this, you can find an internet properties window.

6) Now select LAN settings bottom from the internet properties window.

7) You will be now taken to Local Area Network (LAN) Settings window.

Now keep/change your proxy server ip address and port number as show in the above picture

9)If you don’t know your proxy server ip address or port number, contact your network administrator.

Note: If you are installing Google chrome web browser, it has a beautiful option to import your settings from other web browsers.It even imports your proxy server settings.Incase you have not opted for it or you want to change the proxy server, then just follow the above steps.
